School Introduction

Diploma of Hospitality Management including Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) is a Fast track program with 900 hours relevant trade experience. The package qualification at Shafston is a 2 (Academic) Year program that can be completed in approximately 16 months. The program includes 900 hours of industry experience as required pursuant to Trades Recognition Authority (TRA) guidelines for applications for skilled migration. The Diploma of Hospitality was introduced to Shafston in June 2006 with two new teaching kitchens purpose built for our Diploma in Hospitality.

Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements
Successful completion of year 11 or an international equivalent.

English Requirements
IELTS 5.0 or equivalent score on Shafston’s ITAE (Internal Test of Academic English).
Or
Successful completion of at least one year of either Secondary or Tertiary study where the medium of language instruction was English.
