School Introduction

Come to the tranquil mountains of Central Mexico for an 8-day, 7-night cooking retreat hosted by EcoMexico and Patzcuaro Vacations.

This all-inclusive retreat in Patzcuaro (PAHTZ-kwah-roh), near Morelia, combines the best of a small, colonial mountain town -- historic architecture, indigenous culture, stunning natural beauty -- with delicious food.

During the day you will hike through rolling hills and green valleys, ancient Purhepechan ruins, and winding cobblestone streets.

In the evening you will be treated to master cooking classes (and dinner!) by Chef Rene Guerrero of MadHatters Tea House and Cafe.

We have a fully equippped modern kitchen with ample space for learning and sampling. Our eating area overlooks the entire region.

Rene Guerrero is the owner and chef at MadHatters Tea House and Cafe in San Antonio, Texas. Rene has been a professional cook for over 15 years.
