School Introduction

Box Hill Institute of TAFE – Centre for Hospitality and Tourism Studies was founded in 1982 and is situated in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. Over 25,000 students have been trained at the Institute in hospitality, tourism, cookery and bakery. The centre has trained some of Australia’s best Chefs including Guy Grossi, Curtis Stone, Tobie Puttock and many notable names in Hospitality and Tourism. The institute has 5 training kitchens; an industry based training bakery and a restaurant open to the public. It is registered with the Australian Government to accept international students.

Year 10 or beyond high school graduate is required for local students.
International Students have different entry level requirements depending on your passport and country of origin.

Faculty

Award winning teachers have a minimum of 10 years industry experience and 5 years educator experience.
