School Introduction

BREADCRAFT is an artisan bread-making school located in Southwest Michigan offering hands-on style baking classes designed exclusively for the home chef. Led by a professional chef, you'll learn the fundamentals of bread making in a fun, interesting and easy way. Discover the secrets of making beautiful baguettes, savory sourdoughs, heavenly whole wheats, marvelous multi-grains and even glorious gluten-free bread. No prior cooking or baking experience is needed.

Enjoy learning in a casual, relaxed setting, practice in a real home kitchen like your own, and take home recipes, instructions and everything you bake.

Chef Instructor Sherry Van Der Elst received a Le Cordon Bleu Degree in Culinary Arts from the Cooking & Hospitality Institute of Chicago. She is a member of the Bread Bakers Guild of America, the Artisan Baker Association, the American Culinary Federation and the International Food, Wine & Travel Writers Association.
