- Degrees/Certificates: AOS with concentration in Advanced Baking/Pastry and Advanced Culinary Arts. LCI also offers 5 certifications from the NRA.
- Accreditation: The Louisiana Culinary Institute is licensed by the State of Louisiana Board of Regents, is accredited by the Council on Occupational Education (COE), is a member of the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP), is a member of the Louisiana Restaurant Association (LRA), and is a member of the National Restaurant Association (NRA). Graduates are awarded a diploma in Professional Cooking and Culinary Arts or an Associate of Occupational Studies Degree in Culinary Arts and are eligible for certification with the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation's ManageFirst Program in ServSafe® Food Safety and Sanitation, Customer Service, and Controlling Foodservice Costs. Financing and Student Aid are available to students who qualify.

LCI is a 30,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility with 3 demo labs, dining hall that fits over 90, Garden, Citrus Grove, Classrooms, Media Center, 3 walk-in coolers, Baking and Pastry Lab, Main kitchen, Project Kitchen, and an Amphitheatre that fits over 70 people. All of our equipment is new and LCI has the most up to date culinary tools.
Admissions requirements are as follows. All applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. After the applications are filled out with three professional references and minimum 250 word essay we schedule testing. Our testing includes 2 timed Wonderlic tests which concentrate on quantitative and verbal skills. The last part of the admissions process is administering an untimed math culinary test dealing with word problems and conversions and a final interview with our Chef Instructors/Director.
After all of this completed we will determine if he or she is a good fit for Louisiana Culinary Institute.
LCI has a total of 8 Chef Instructors with experience and ACF certifications in all backgrounds.

LCI offers opportunities for students to work on a culinary team during the Cannes Film Festival in France. For a professional evaluation we also offer stage opportunities at local or nationwide restaurants.
